Online Stress News was set up in the summer of 1999, to provide news and information about stress, stress research, stress law, stress management, stress counselling and health related issues.

The Centre for Stress Management which sponsors Online Stress News, was established in 1987 as a training provider, consultancy and counselling service specialising in the field of stress and stress management.

The Director of the Centre is Professor Stephen Palmer.
